New Jerusalem Church-Njc was founded first by its spiritual leader, Pastor Carlton K. Whitfield Sr., in the year April 6th, 1998. The church first had its official meeting, held in an Elementary School, named Margaret M. Peirce, located in Remington, Virginia. Glory to the Lord we had one person receiving the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues on that opening day.
His name was the Late Kenneth Bannerman of Temple Hills, Maryland. This church now is a Rebirth of the church first started in April of 1998. Pastor Carlton K. Whitfield Sr., and his wife First Lady Lorraine J. Whitfield, now residing in Wilson, North Carolina, are dedicated to the Lord in reaching souls for Christ.

In obedience to the call again, Pastor Whitfield began to do the will of the Lord. With the help of the Lord Jesus Christ New Jerusalem Church-Njc is committed to teaching, preaching the inerrant, infallible word of the Lord Jesus Christ without compromise.
